How to Make Winter Evening Hot Chocolate

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk and heavy cream. Over medium heat, bring to a simmer. Do not bring to a boil!
  2. In a small bowl, combine cocoa powder, grated chocolate, and about 1/2 cup of the heated milk. Stir until smooth. Slowly add to the saucepan, whisking vigorously until completely combined.
  3. Add condensed milk and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined. Simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes.

Cocoa tends to have a thinner consistency than hot chocolate though my guess is the terms are used interchangeably. 

Do You Use Hot Water Or Milk To Make Hot Chocolate?

You can use either hot water or milk to make hot chocolate but using a combination of milk and cream will give you a much richer tasting drink.  

 Do I Have To Add In The Cinnamon?

If you are not a fan of cinnamon, you can omit it.
