What do you need to make [Super Easy] Frozen Bananas?
Bananas – We prefer ripe bananas that are more yellow and don’t have a lot of brown or black spots. They are more durable and are less likely to break on you when dipping in the chocolate.
Chocolate – Most often, we use semi-sweet chocolate; however, you could use milk chocolate, bittersweet, or even white chocolate if you want. It’s a very versatile recipe.
Toppings – Use any of your favorite treat toppings!

Can I Add Sticks To [Super Easy] Frozen Bananas?
Yes, adding a popsicle stick is a fantastic way to enjoy these bananas. To make frozen bananas on a stick, you just need to push sticks into the end of the banana. Then dip in chocolate, add toppings, and freeze. This makes it so much easier to eat, especially if you have little kids munching on them.
What Are Some Topping Ideas For These Frozen Bananas In Chocolate?
The options are seriously endless when it comes to these frozen bananas in chocolate. I wanted to share some of our favorites so you can try them as well.
Peanut Butter – Drizzle melted peanut butter all over the bananas after they are dipped in chocolate.
Sprinkles – Use any color or theme for holidays or parties too.
Nuts – Almonds, pecans, peanuts, walnuts, and hazelnuts are all fantastic choices!
Crushed Cookies – Crush up some Oreos or other cookies of your choice and sprinkle them on the bananas for a special treat.
Coconut – Toast some coconut or use coconut slivers and sprinkle it all over the bananas. Yum!
Candy – Chop up some of your go-to candy like Hershey Bars, Snicker’s, or anything else you enjoy.
Granola – The flavor of granola is perfect with the chocolate and bananas.
How Do I Store Frozen Bananas With Chocolate?
After you initially freeze the bananas and they are frozen solid, you can move them to a different container. I find that they do great in a plastic container, glass, or even a freezer-safe bag. Because you flash froze them, it’s okay if they touch each other, and they shouldn’t stick together.
How Long Do Frozen Bananas Last?
We usually prepare our frozen bananas and keep them in the freezer for 2-3 months. They are nice to have on hand whenever a craving strikes, or we need to keep the kids entertained for a bit. You can leave them in the freezer even longer than that, but they may start to lose their flavor a little after that point.
Are Frozen Bananas Healthy?
The bananas themselves are very healthy! However, depending on what kind of toppings you choose will affect how healthy this treat is. Everything is okay if you eat it on occasion and not all the time.
Bananas are rich in potassium, fiber, natural sugars, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and more. So eat them up and enjoy!
