How To Make Meatloaf with Applesauce?
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, finely chopped onion, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to mix everything together until it is well combined. Add the applesauce to the mixture and mix it in thoroughly until it is evenly distributed.
Once the mixture is well combined, it’s time to form your meatloaf. Place the mixture on a non-stick loaf pan and use your hands to shape it into a loaf shape. The height and width of your meatloaf should be proportional for even cooking.
To add flavor and a crispy outer layer, spread a thin layer of one of our meatloaf glazes over the top of the meatloaf. This will help to caramelize the top layer of the meatloaf, giving it a deliciously sweet and tangy flavor.
Place your meatloaf in a preheated oven set at 375°F and bake for 45-60 minutes. Make sure the meatloaf is fully cooked by using a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, which should reach 160°F.
How Long Will Meatloaf Last?
So here’s the deal: if you stash your meatloaf in an airtight container, it can stay good for up to four days in the fridge. But don’t wait too long! Start keeping an eye out for any signs of spoilage around day 3 or 4.
