Easy Sweet Potato Casserole

This is an easy and delicious side dish that's sure to please any crowd.

Ingredients

  • 2 large cans of yams
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ stick butter
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ⅓ cup butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Using an electric mixer mash the two cans of yams and ½ stick of butter together . 
  3. Add the eggs in one at a time. 
  4. Next pour the sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla. 
  5. Pour mix into a baking dish and set aside.
  6. In a separate bowl, using a fork mix the brown sugar, flour, pecans and melted butter together. Sprinkle on top of the sweet potato mixture and bake for 30 minutes
