How Do You Make Red, White and Blue Popsicles?

  • Sugar
  • Strawberries
  • Cream Cheese
  • Blueberries
  • Water

How Are Red White and Blue Popsicles Made?

  • Add the granulated sugar and water to a pot.  
  • Bring to a boil.  
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool down 20-30 mins.
  • Chop up the strawberries and add to a blender.  
  • Add 3 tbsp of simple syrup and blend until smooth
  • Pour into the bottom of the popsicle mold and freeze for one hour (minimum)
  • After an hour, mix the cream cheese and simple syrup.
  • Add to the popsicle mold.
  • Freeze for at least one hour.
  • Lastly, blend the blueberries and simple syrup
  • Pour into the molds and add the popsicle sticks.
  • Freeze for 5+ hours or overnight for best results.

Are These Popsicles Healthy?

These popsicles have Ā½ cup of granulated sugar in them plus the natural sugars from the fruit.  You can use low fat cream cheese and reduce the calorie count.  You could always use Swerve Sugar substitute instead of regular granulated sugar and that would make them healthier.

Yep! The only questionable item is the cream cheese; however, most cream cheese brands are gluten free- check their packaging to be certain.  Some brands label Gluten Free on the container.

Yes you can!  We used Smirnoff Vodka- which is gluten free! Simply add 1.5 tbsp of vodka to each layer.

How To Make Red White and Blue Popsicles

Ā These Red White and Blue Popsicles are perfect for the summer holidays, and they're so easy to make.

Ingredients

  • Simple syrup:
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Strawberry Layer:
  • 1 1/3 cup chopped strawberries
  • 3 tablespoon simple syrup
  • Cheesecake Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 tablespoon simple syrup
  • Blueberry Layer:
  • 1 cup trimmed and quartered blueberries
  • 3 tablespoons simple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add the granulated sugar and water to a pot.  
  2. Bring to a boil.

  • You can strain the berries if youā€™d like or add in chopped up berries for added texture.
  • Let each layer have time to freeze or else it will blend together.
