It’s that time of year again! Time to get out the Christmas decorations and start thinking about what delicious treats you’re going to make for your holiday parties. Recipe for Christmas Tree Rice Krispie Treats Ingredients 

How To Make Christmas Tree Rice Krispie Treats

  1. Measure out and prep ingredients
  2. Prep a a buttered baking sheet, by lathering stick butter over the bottoms and sides
  3. Melt the butter in a medium sized saucepan or pot.
  4. Once melted, add the marshmallows.
  5. Stir until fully melted
  6. In a bowl with the rice krispie cereal, add the melted marshmallow mixture into it
  7. Fold the mixture together until completely coated.
  8. Take the bowl and pour the crispy rice mixture onto the butter baking sheet
  9. Butter your clean hands and form the rice krispies into the baking sheet.
  10. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  11. Take out and use the tree cookie cutter to forcefully press into the slightly hardened rice krispies.
  12. Separate the tree krispie rice treats from the excess and place on parchment paper.
  13. Form the excess krispies back into the pan to cut out more trees or use hands to form rice krispie balls to enjoy on your own or give to the kids that may be lingering around 🙂
  14. Melt the green melting chips in the microwave at 30 second intervals until totally melted
  15. Transfer into a piping bag or ziploc bag then snip a hole at the end.
  16. Horizontally drizzle each tree rice krispie treat with the green white chocolate and top with red, green, and white sprinkles.
  17. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and enjoy!

How To Store Easy Christmas Tree Rice Krispie Treats

These treats are super simple to store.  Place them in an airtight container.  If you need to layer them. Place a piece of parchment paper between the layers.  This will keep the bottoms clean for your hands.

Variations To Rice Crispy Treats:

  • Add different types of cooking chips: Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, White Chocolate Chips,Butterscotch Chips, Peanut Butter Chips
  • Sprinkles add all the sprinkles as you have placed into container to start the hardening process.

  2. We made up batches of these (and stockings, and candy canes, etc.) they made GREAT classroom “gifts.” Once the frosting hardened we put them in little treat bags and they were a huge hit. Your trees are lovely!
