The Lucky Irish Margarita Recipe includes:

Simple Syrup– a liquid sweetener

Lime Juice– made from freshly squeezed limes

Irish Whiskey– whisky made in ireland

Salt– adds to the flavor

Lime– Pretty garnish

Mint– tastes sweet and produces a lingering cool effect on the tongue.

How to make an Irish Margarita

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons of salt onto a small plate. Quarter one lime, rub one quarter around the rim of cocktail glass, dip rim of glass in salt, add ice to glass.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add simple syrup, irish whiskey, and lime juice. Shake
  3. Pour over ice in cocktail glass, garnish with lime round and mint.

What is the difference in Irish whiskey and regular whiskey

The main difference between the two amber spirits is the primary ingredients. The Irish use barley as their primary ingredient while the American whiskey generally uses corn, wheat, or rye. 

What are the best Irish whiskeys?

Well, we recommend Jameson, which is used in this recipe.  Some other top sellers are Bushmills, Green Spot, Redbreast and West Cork.

Can you make this recipe into a pitcher margarita

Of Course!   Just remember the simple syrup and fresh lime juice are equal parts and the whiskey is double…  Be careful,  this recipe will be potent.
