There isn’t anything “bat-ty” to this tasty treat.  It’s a foolproof Halloween dessert that’s easy to make!

What is Used to Make Cake Pops?

  • Butter- Always buy unsalted butter for baking, then add salt as needed. This is a quality-control technique to produce better baked goods.
  • Sugar– Because everything needs to be a little sweet
  • Eggs-
  • All Purpose Flour- always go with “all purpose” flour unless the recipe specifically calls for Sel- Rising Flour
  • Vanilla- To add that little extra something

Our Halloween Bat Cake Pops have no frosting on them.  They are dipped in chocolate!

What Do You Need For Decorating Our Cake Pops?

How to Make Halloween Cake Pops From Scratch

  1. In a stand mixer add the Melted butter and sugar.  Beat until combined.  Slowly add in the eggs and the vanilla. Stir in flour and mix until you have a thick batter.  Spoon the batter into the molds.   Insert sticks and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.  Let the cake pops cool completely!
  2. Once cake pops are cool, In a small heat safe mixing bowl put the chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each 30 seconds until completely melted.  Spoon 2 tablespoons into a smaller dish.
  3. Spoon the melted chocolate over the cake pops front and back then place on a parchment lined tray to harden for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove icing from oreos and cut cookies in half. Some may break – that is ok! You’ll have extras!
  5. Take the 2 tablespoons of chocolate that you set aside. Place in a plastic or piping bag and put a small amount of chocolate on the “bat wings” and fix them to the back
  6. Place a small amount of chocolate on the edible candy eyes and place them.  Let the pops harden and enjoy!

*** No need for a leveling agent for the flour because you do not want them to rise.
